Another “fun” day at Fun Fur Dogs in Mt. Vernon. Last time it was cold, both dogs were bad and it was notsofun. But much better this time. I just ran Tally because I didn’t want to fight Hannah about weaving, which she does not seem to want to do there. The surface is great, but the princess that Hannah is thinks it is just a little too soft. Kind of like the princess and the pea, that one.
Tally’s first standard run was about what I expected. I got to work his startline, since he didn’t hold his stay. Contacts were okay, although I made him redo all of them because they could have been better. The second run was a little better, but I think I went over time, because he barks so loud I couldn’t hear the whistle and I got so caught up in what I was doing, I kinda forgot. So I just kind of ran out with my head down, embarrassed.
JWW was much, much better. The first run was good, but he left the weaves early twice. I think he had two bars. The second run – wow! I kept waiting for a bar to drop, but he did great, we ran full out and he only dropped one bar near the very end. I call that a success! Very happy. Now he gets one weekend (coming up) to rest – hopefully on Sunday we can do a medium hike – and then the following weekend we go over to Sequim Friday/Saturday where he and Hannah are entered in everything! Can not wait!
